What began as a high school hobby—making cakes for friends and family—quickly became a lifelong passion for McKenzie, the owner and lead artist behind MK Cake & Floral Studio.

 

Even while working full-time as a Spanish teacher, she continued baking on the side, gradually building a loyal following through word-of-mouth, social media, and a growing portfolio of custom work.

In 2021, McKenzie launched her first business, Baker’s Joy by McKenzie. Over the years, her artistry evolved into something more expansive—blending her love for cakes and florals into one creative studio: MK Cake & Floral Studio.

From custom cakes to lush arrangements, McKenzie creates edible and botanical art that brings beauty and joy to life’s most meaningful moments. Every detail is crafted with care, intention, and a deep love for what she does.

In 2025, her twin sister Madison joined the studio as an assistant. With her natural creativity and shared eye for detail, Madison brings warmth, support, and fresh energy to the process. Together, the sisters work side by side to make every celebration unforgettable—with heart, artistry, and a personal touch only a family-run studio can offer.
